Have a big event or party coming up? Here's how you can get your skin in shape, no matter how much (or how little) time you have

If you have two weeks
You're not quite in a time crunch yet, but you are running out of time to make major changes. Instead, focus on quick fixes that'll have a big impact. For starters, book a pedicure appointment to get those rough heels in shape and get your toes looking pretty.
Next, start dry brushing your skin before you shower. It helps with circulation (hello, glowing skin), and may even minimize cellulite and help you detox.
A tan is the perfect way to get glowing and camouflage any problem areas. Of course we're not going to tell you to bake in the sun, but if your skin is pasty and pale, start using a gradual self-tanning lotion or book an appointment for a spray tan. If you get a spray tan, schedule it for two days before your event -- the first day after you're sprayed can be a little too dark. This will also give you time to fix any streaks or mistakes.
Diet-wise, try eating foods that can reduce bloating, like watermelon, spinach, and cucumber, so you look your best in your two-piece or party dress.

If you have one day
So, you waited until the last minute. It's OK -- we've been there. Here are the fast fixes you can do in the hours and minutes leading up to your event. First, hop in the shower and use a body scrub before you shave, focusing on areas like your heels, knees, and elbows.
After your shower, apply an instant body bronzer everywhere you have skin showing (just make sure it's fully dry before you get dressed). If you're going swimming and aren't completely confident in your bronzer's waterproof status, use a shimmery body lotion instead for a subtle glow that won't melt when you do a cannonball.
If you're crunched for time but still want your toes to look freshly pedi-ed, slip on your heels or sandals and only apply polish to the toes you can see. Let them dry on your way to the event. No one will ever know your pinkie toe has last month's chipped varnish.
When the front of your fridge is covered in wedding invitations and your inbox is overloaded with pool party e-vites, you know to prep for the obvious. Buy a new dress or bikini, freshen up your highlights, break out the waterproof mascara.
But if you're anything like us, it's not until the day of, when you glance down at your beyond-pasty legs and gnarly toes, that you realize you may have forgotten a thing or two. To help avoid that last minute panic, we've created this checklist to get your body ready for any big event. Whether you've got months or minutes, we've got you covered.
