Full disclosure: I've wanted to recreate the look of Game of Thrones' Daenerys for a while now (and not just around Halloween-time). Her makeup is soft and natural, and do not even get me started on how awesome her hair is, even when it's dirty and messy from trekking through the plains of Essos. So when we decided to give our editorial assistant Emily a GoT-style makeover for Halloween, I geeked out -- a lot. Not only is Dany a total badass and gorgeous to boot -- she's also got dragons. And while we couldn't quite hatch our own from petrified eggs like she does, we could order a mini one from Amazon. Channel the Mother of Dragons' fiery nature with our step-by-step guide and make your claim to the Iron Throne.

Here are all the products you need to complete the look.

Step 1: Prep your face for foundation with an illuminator like Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum. Use a shadow primer on lids.

Step 2: Apply a liquid foundation with a brush like Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush, $25, starting from the middle of your face and blending outwards. Conceal any imperfections with a concealer.

Step 3: We used LORAC's PRO To Go Palette, $36) to achieve Dany's softly smoldering eyes. Sweep the shell shade over lids and up to your brow bone. Blend the mink-colored eye shadow into the crease of your eyelid, starting from the inner corner of your eye and blending outwards. Use a small eye shadow brush to blend the dark brown shadow into the outer corner of your crease.
