Try: A Staycation

So, a trip to Paris is probably more of an engagement or honeymoon move -- but you can get some good fun out of playing the tourist in your hometown. Think about it -- it's kind of a fun date idea, giving the local tourist attractions a try. Say, if you're in LA, try hiking the Hollywood sign. In Seattle? Pay a visit to the Space Needle. And so on, and so on; you get the picture.

Popular board game Settlers of Catan doesn't always work well with two people, but it could definitely work as a double date activity. There are also tons of fun options that work for two people -- there are tons of trendy, grown-up approved games like Karuba or Jaipur. Maybe it's time to let your competitive side out!

Try: A Trendy Dessert

Dessert trends come and go quickly, and a lot of times they're different regionally -- but no matter where you are, there's always that new dessert hotspot that you've been meaning to try. So, why not make it a date? Whether it's farm-to-table artisanal ice cream, or some fancy type of donut, it's sure to be sweet fun.

Try: Ice Skating

It doesn't get much more romantic-comedy-level adorable than ice skating now, does it? Skill level doesn't matter -- more adept couples can spin their way through figure eights and impress each other with fancy footwork, while beginners can wobble across the ice together (holding hands, of course). Oh, and bonus? Hot cocoa break for when your fingers get too cold/your ankles get too tired!

Try: A Farmer's Market

It may not sound romantic, but a farmer's market can actually make for a decent date idea -- think about it, you'll be outside in the fresh hair, and you'll be surrounded by good food. Plus, if you're lucky, your farmer's market may even have its own live music.
