Indulge in eight hours of sleep
As much as possible, strive to get a full eight hours of sleep every night. Yes, it's difficult when you're busy or when there are too many things running in your mind — but it's also super important.

Put an effort to making your sleeping routine better — because, in addition to helping your hair and skin look their best (they don't call it "beauty sleep" for nothing!), it will also help you stay focused, energized, and happier the next day. It can even improve your blood sugar levels and help balance your metabolism.

Eat well and on time
Binge eating can happen when you're stressed. You eat late because you're too busy, so you feel like you can treat yourself with good old burgers and fries at the end of the day. Unfortunately, this isn't exactly the best for your body — and if you over indulge too much, you'll start to feel the negative effects.

Eating on time will eliminate tendencies of overindulging in food and it will provide breaks to your day at work. Choose to eat healthy snacks — you'd be surprised what a big difference they can make in your stress levels. If you need to snack, choose something nutritious and filling like nuts, which are also beneficial for stress management.

Learn how to say no
For some, saying no is already a stressful thing to do. But taking more than what you can handle will bring more stress. Don't feel like you need to please anyone, especially if you already have too much on your plate. Set limits and stick to them. This applies to both your personal and professional life.

Meditate
When you're stressed and anxious, it's difficult to stop your mind from overthinking and worrying. Through meditation, you'll be able to regain control with what your thinking. It will help you plan better for the future, increase happiness, and ground yourself. Sometimes, your brain magnifies the problem when in fact there are multiple ways for you to solve it.

Meditation can be as simple as focusing on your breathing for a minute while at work, going for a yoga sesh, or listening to meditation apps.

Know your triggers and eliminate them
Sometimes, there's a pattern behind your stress. Determine them and see how you can address the root cause for good. If your worries come from your habits, make a plan on how you can change them. If it's a person or an environment, avoid them. Don't feel bad about cutting some people out of your life, especially if they are negatively affecting your mental health.
