We hate to break it to you, but your phone is probably one of the dirtiest things you own. It may even be roughly 10 times dirtier than your toilet seat. So basically, sending a single text with clean hands'll render them dirty again. Gross! So, this 2020, be sure to regularly sanitize your phone with wet wipes.

Need a little bit of a social media detox? Stop sleeping with your phone right by your pillow. That way, you won't waste your night endlessly scrolling on Instagram or watching whatever recommended video YouTube has for you. Another bonus? It'll help you get a better night's sleep.

With your phone safely across the room (or even in another room entirely!), you'll have a little extra time freed up to read at night. You can learn new things, finish something that's been gathering dust on your bookshelf, or go back to your favorite "Harry Potter" book. Even if you don't consider yourself much of a reader, you can commit to 10 or 15 minutes a day — and before you know it, you'll have finished "War and Peace."

Show yourself some love by being the first person to compliment you. It can be as simple as a "you look good today" to your rearview mirror, or a "well done" after you clean your room. It's simple way to help you foster good self esteem and better habits.

Last but not least, tend to your mental health: Start by taking 15 minutes of your day to just meditate. You can use a meditation app, listen to guided meditations on Spotify, or do a mindfulness exercise on your own. You'd be surprised what a difference it can make.
