How to get it: Start with the lightest of the three colors you're using -- if you're going with this modern blue and beige combo, we suggest using Yves St. Laurent La Laque Couture in Beige Leger, Blue Majorelle and Blue Cobalt. Next, tape off your nail from the left top corner to the bottom right, painting the space above it with the second-lightest color. Peel off the tape while the polish is still wet. Once that coat dries, tape your nail from the bottom right corner to the top left. Fill in the space above the straight edge with the darkest color. Peel it off, and finish with top coat.

With a size zero art brush (you can find one in this handy starter set), draw a curved line, using the tape as your guide. Paint on lashes, and repeat on your other nails. If you want to make an eye, cut out a football-shaped piece of tape to stick on your nail. Trace around the shape for a clean eye shape, then add a circle to the middle and fill it in. Finish with a top coat.

How to get it: Start by applying the predominant color to your entire nail. We recommend something light, as it's more difficult to layer light on top of dark than vice versa.
