"Proper biotin levels aid a clear complexion, gleaming eyes, vibrant hair, and properly functioning glands," Gittleman explains. Biotin also helps avert dermatitis, baldness, and weak nails, she says, and it's needed for your body to use protein, folic acid, B12, and pantothenic acid. Our only caveat? Use with caution if you're going to be taking any blood tests, as it can skew results.

"Pantothenic acid is critical for stopping wrinkles and premature aging," explains Gittleman. She says it works by encouraging your body's production of cortisone as well as other vital hormones, which work together to give you silky skin. In addition, she says pantothenic acid bolsters adrenal support, so you can more effectively fight stress, thus preventing adrenal burnout (and troubled skin).
