While there are some truly outrageous beauty moments from the runway that wouldn't translate well on the sidewalk, there's an equal number of downright gorgeous looks that everyday people can draw inspiration from. This was true for the Spring 2019 New York Fashion Week shows, where makeup artists incorporated fun bursts of color, soft and feminine color-scapes and lots of playful touches. Today, we're focused on eye makeup, so grab your brushes and get ready to recreate one or all of them in the coming months.

It was all about a layered lid at Badgley Mischka, where key makeup artist for Stila Cosmetics, Carly Giglio, used multiple products to create a color-shifting eye inspired by "Alice in Wonderland." She started by applying a combination of Suede and Velour (from the Matte 'N Metal Palette) on the lid and on the lower lash line to create an elongated, softly contoured eye.
From there, Giglio applied a mix of Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows in Kitten and Jezebel on the center, diffusing slightly. For a finishing touch, she pressed Shade Mystere Liquid Eye Shadow in Mythical (launching this spring) — which color-shifts between purple, blue and pink — to the center of the lids.

Glittery eyelids that "reflect light even in a nightclub" were created by Nars global artistry director, Sada Ito, at Adeam this season. He used a combination of Mendoza, Pattaya, Rio De La Plata and Melrose Single Eyeshadows to create a soft and warm glow across the entire lid, then applied a light coat of Climax Mascara for a no-fuss finish.

Makeup artist for Bobbi Brown, Romy Soleimani, paired up with Ulla Johnson this season for a super fresh spring look. The coral-stained, just-bitten look (Bold Nectar and Fever Pitch) was stunning, but it's the fluttering pink eyelashes that really stole the spotlight. If you're wondering where you can buy the mascara, you'll have to sit tight since Soleimani used a prototype she mixed up with Bobbi Brown. (While you're waiting, try Lancome's Big Color Lash Top Coat in Pink.)

Legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath took the makeup wheel this season at Anna Sui where she used her own products to create a truly breathtaking "no-makeup makeup" look — but with a twist. The look had everything you'd expect for a "me, but better" aesthetic, including dewy skin, a natural flush and natural lips. However, McGrath also incorporated prismatic shadows onto lids and cupid's bow via her just-launched Mothership V: Bronze Seduction Palette. The result? A now-you-see it, now-you-don't holographic shift with every subtle movement.
