An expert will help you find your desired brow shape. And once you have that, you can use it as the base to work from when you do your own touch-ups at home.

It might be tempting to use a magnifying mirror — but they can actually give you a false perspective of how your brows look, since they have a slight fish eye effect that distorts their appearance. Instead, use a regular mirror and focus on how your brows look on your entire face. And if you want something that'll help you see the detail work, try a lighted mirror instead (we're fans of the iHome Vanity Mirror, $79.99 — it even plays music!).

Most people don't realize that in order to wax effectively, your brows should be around a quarter of an inch long (which yes, is a hefty amount of regrowth). That said, you can always use an opaque concealer (such as the popular Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, $30) on them to camouflage until they're long enough to tweeze.
