Backstage at Naeem Khan, makeup artist Gato was inspired by teenagers in Los Angeles. Using Maybelline makeup, he put the emphasis on the skin and flushed cheeks. Instead of blush, he applied Maybelline Matte Metallics by Color Sensational Lip Color, $7.49 in Copper Rose and Hot Lava, which launch in July.
At Proenza Schouler, faces were left almost completely bare. Models were given a mini facial with the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask, $58, and then makeup artist Diane Kendal used M.A.C. Studio Conceal and Correct Palette, $40, as needed.
Pink eye makeup has been around for a few seasons now, but with each iteration it becomes more wearable. The looks backstage ranged from barely noticeable peach shades to full-on rust-toned smoky lids. But one thing's for sure: It's time to try this trend.
