I think we can all agree that, for obvious reasons, summer 2020 has been a bit of a letdown. While a drastic change in the status quo isn't forecasted for fall, the fact that sweater weather, pumpkin spice, and cool temperatures are upon does feel like somewhat of a reset. Also, come autumn, it simply feels more natural to cozy up inside. I will gladly usher in autumn weather, apparel and scents — and I'll start the best way I know how: with festive fall candles.
Let's start this roundup off strong with Rosy Rings, a home fragrance purveyor that has a knack for concocting wildly beautiful scents. Oak Moss + Myrrh is no exception; it's a wet and earthy base swaddled in the swirling smoke of Japanese incense and cedarwood.
It's not just sweater weather, it's cool-enough-to-have-a-bonfire weather! Hoorah. If you're craving a forest cabin experience, complete with the crackling fire, be sure to grab this candle which will teleport you there in an instant! How, you ask? Think of the aroma of roasted chestnuts and burning wood swirling with some bergamot, ylang-ylang, coconut milk, vanilla and musk accords just for that extra warmth and coziness!
If you're not yet acquainted, DEHV Candle Co. specializes in sustainable, hand-pour candles nestled in concrete vessels. Their new fall candle lineup consists of three divine scents: spice, a true all-spice situation going on here; Yule, think pine forest, potpourri, and frankincense; and cocoon, a sugary vanilla with a musk base and hints of balsam, persimmon, and magnolia. They're all great, but we're especially partial to the latter.
Was there any doubt that Bath & Body Works would make this list? The company is queen when it comes to delicious fall scents, and this year's lineup is glorious. Some favorites include Sweater Weather Fall Farmhouse, and The Perfect Autumn. The latter is brand new to the brand, and smells like a mix of spiced pumpkin, forest pine, and fresh fall air. We love the festive glass jar, too.
