"Make sure to pack an outfit you really like and feel good in," says Rod Cortizo, owner and trainer at Rodsquad Women's Fitness. After all, he points out that this'll help you stay motivated enough to actually go to the gym (especially after a long day at work).

"No one wants to lay on a mat or machine after you sweat all over it, so making sure you have some towels packed in your bag is very important," says Cortizo.
"This one can be surprising, especially for women, but gloves give you the ability to lift and get more out of your workout since you won't be tearing up your hands," Cortizo explains.
"Select sneakers that fit the type of workout you're planning to do, as you want flatter shoes with less cushion and bounce for lifting," Cortizo says. Alternatively, he suggests wearing comfortable, cushioned soles for activities like running or aerobics.
