Having kinky, curly hair, I thank the beauty gods each and every day for the many flat irons, pressing tools and straightening combs that crowd my bathroom drawers. Curly or straight, my hair has been a lifelong pain to deal with, but because I change up my look on the reg, I've learned to embrace the frizz and fuss that is my natural hair. After all, I live in LA where pools call for curly texture, beaches are always grounds for waves, and going straight is overrated.
So, in celebration of Garnier Fructis Wear Your Hair Curly Day (for a good cause!) campaign, we thought we'd show off our editors' curly and straight hairstyles. Some of us went au natural and others went straight for the styling wand. Share your curly style with us on Instagram (#tbcurlyhairday).

Our office is in love with curls of all shapes, sizes and swirls right now, but going curly isn't easy for everyone. Some of us were born with board-straight hair ... others have the kind of kinky, tight curls that give new meaning to the word "frizz." But we've learned how to overcome those obstacles to perfect curly hair by finding styles the suit our hair type and length. We challenged our editors and interns to work up with their favorite curly style. From gorgeous ringlets to all-natural kink, we're showing off our best curly looks.
