Start by applying primer to your eyelids, followed by a matte eyeshadow. (Ravndahl uses MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Bare Study and MAC Eye Shadow in Brule.)

Next, apply a cream or pencil eyeliner in white (pictured is MAC Chromaline in Pure White) across your upper lashline, flicking the ends up at the outer corners of your eyes. The white acts as a base to make a bright eyeliner pop.

Use an angled brush to go over your white liner with the eyeshadow color of your choice. Ravndahl uses MAC Eye Shadow in Electric Eel.

Next, apply a black gel liner like MAC Chromaline in Black Black right on top of your colored line. You want to apply the black liner as close to your lashline as possible, keeping the line thin to avoid a mess.

You could follow up Step 4 with some mascara and call it a day, but we love the way Ravndahl uses the same double liner technique on her waterline. To get this look, apply white eyeliner across your waterline and go over it with your colored shadow or liner. Next, use a smudger brush to smudge black eyeshadow from the outer corner of your eye to about halfway in. Ravndahl uses MAC Eye Shadow in Black Tied.
