To get its online raves, Paris-based Talika says it has isolated an active ingredient that is able to reverse the process that causes the appearance of stretch marks. The company's test of Talika Zero Stretch Mark cream, $88, on 25 women over three months found that 87 percent said their stretch marks were "less deep" at the end of three months and 68 percent said their stretch marks were "less colored."

DermaRestore Stretch Mark and Scar cream, $55.99, contains a proprietary blend of essential oils, clinically tested herbal extracts, vitamins and other nutrients to reduce the inflammation around stretch marks to dramatically reduce their appearance. (Even power lifters whose fast-growing muscles create stretch marks approve.) The blend includes vitamins E, C and A, emu oil, licorice root and a number of other nourishing botanicals.
