Flying takes it out of you. Travelers are squeezed into itty bitty seats, and the dry, recirculated air wreaks havoc on skin and hair. Not to worry, we're here for you, sis: Here are all the best traveling beauty hacks to beat jet lag, and come out on the other side of that Transatlantic flight looking as well-rested and radiantly beautiful as ever.

Hydrate from the inside

Did you know that the humidity in a plane is a desert-like 15 percent on average? To put things in perspective, the air in your house is usually around 50 percent humidity. In other words, your body loses water on a flight just through breathing — so yeah, you're going to need to replenish that.

So, be sure to pack your favorite reusable bottle (preferably a bougie, fancy one like this Glacce Crystal Elixir Water Bottle, $80, for extra good vibes along with your good hydration). And keep drinking water. Even if you need a coffee (or wine, ahem), be sure to ask the flight attendant to replenish your water bottle and keep drinking the H2O... like 5X the amount you usually drink.

Show your face some love

Your poor skin needs moisture, too. That's where The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, $6.80, comes in. Massage it in before the flight, but keep it in your bag for the occasional reapplication throughout the flight.

Block those rays

Did you know you can be exposed to UV rays while you fly? It's true, that's why you need a moisturizer (have we drummed that into you yet?) with sunscreen. Check out a multi-tasking SPF moisturizer such as Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30, $34, to defend against those nasty free radicals and keep your skin hydrated.
