Sure, we're envious of Kendall Jenner's killer bod and incredible hair, but few things incite as much beauty envy in us as her amazing eyebrows. So we went straight to her main makeup man, Victor Henao, Director of Global Makeup Design for Estée Lauder, for the inside scoop. According to him, the secret to Kendall Jenner-worthy brows is not stressing about perfection. "People get lost in this idea of having perfect brows and waxing and plucking and shaping. Sometimes the best thing for your brows is just to let them be," he says. Still, that doesn't mean he practices a totally hands-off approach when it comes to enhancing Jenner's arches. Here, he shares the supersimple ways he creates three different brow looks on the supermodel.
It's truly a case of less is more when it comes to this superminimalistic brow, Jenner's off-duty look. Henao starts by using a pencil to fill in only the areas that look a little sparse, typically at the tail. "Be targeted and precise, drawing in soft lines just where you'd want there to be a few more hairs," he says. The only other product required for this au naturel look is a brow gel. There's no need to add any color; you're just using the gel to keep the hairs in place, notes Henao, so a clear option will do the trick. Try Benefit Ready, Set, Brow! Clear Brow Gel, $24.
Slightly more polished and groomed, this is Henao's go-to for Jenner's (many) red carpet appearances. He starts by using the pencil end of the Estée Lauder Brow Multi-Tasker, $29, which he likes for its triangular shape. "The pointed tip is great for creating precise definition, especially at the tail, while the flatter side is perfect for shading in larger areas," he explains.
Post-pencil, grab a spoolie to brush through the entire brow before doing anything else. "It's a common misconception that you only need to brush through the brow before you start applying makeup, or as a final step," says Henao. "You should be continually blending everything with a spoolie." Why? When too much makeup adheres to the hairs, you end up seeing just the makeup, and not the shape of your brow.
