Now, it's time to put things back. Kondo's secret for organization is simple too: Make sure nothing is hidden. That way, you'll be able to find everything easy, without having to paw through stacks and layers of hair gels and pomades. She also recommends using small boxes to keep like items together — so, all the sprays go in one box, all the hair masks in another basket. A space for everything, and everything in its place.

Yes, advertising and packaging scream, "Buy me!" and we all want to be the first on our block to get the next best thing. But, it might be wise to splurge on a new product only when it has great reviews, or when you really need it. Because stocking up on extraneous products just generates more clutter in our drawers — and even more clutter in our minds. Plus, those impulse purchases add up and can be pretty hard on our wallets.
It takes a little extra effort (and more than a healthy dash of will power, especially if you have product-hoarding tendencies), but we promise: KonMari-ing your hair products is totally worth it. You'll be grateful in the long run.
