"I love it because it allows you to achieve dimension that you cannot get with one color. As an added bonus, it comes with three tools, as well, including a mini tweezer, mini spoolie, and mini angled brow brush," Scheibel says. "Use the lighter shade to fill in the brow like normal, then add the darker color to the base of the brow and toward the tail of the brow to create the perfect elevated eyebrow look."
"I love M.A.C. Cosmetics' Shape + Shade Brow Tint," says makeup artist Dana Rae Ashburn. "It's a double-ended product, and I'm all about that multi-purpose beauty life. One side is a pen that allows you to draw fine hairs, and the other is a powder to create a fuller, fluffier brow. I also use the powder side as an eye shadow when I want a monochromic look."
"Brow gels are hot on the scene right now, and this one from Tarte, which comes in six colors, is my fave," says Moldavon. "The small spoolie applicator makes it easy to brush brows in the opposite direction and coats them with the gel without getting it all over the skin. After applying, you can take a clean spoolie and run it through your brows to set them in place."
Here's a pro tip from Moldavon that might just blow your mind: brow pencils are used to put color on the skin behind your brows in order to create more shape while brow gels deposit color on your actual hairs to help add a boost of pigment on someone who already has thicker brows. "The type of product you use really depends on what your brow needs in order to take them to the next level," she explains. Of course, you can also use a combination of products.
