Drip-drop drawings
Illustrator Eli Neugeboren and still-life photographer Christine Blackburne teamed up to take those pretty nail polish blobs you see in magazine spreads to the next level. Unlike the other nail polish artists we've covered, Neugeboren drips, rather than paints, the polish for a more textured finish that captures the movement of gesture drawing.

Two coats, please

Checkmate
Artist Livia Marin loves to work with things that are often dismissed because of their ubiquity, such as your everyday tube of lipstick. To illustrate the personalization behind every woman's lipstick of choice, Marin sculpted 2,214 that all vary in shape, color and form reminiscent of chess pieces.

(Lip)stick sculptures
Hong Kong-based artist Mary Sum sculpts famous faces, often powerful and highly influential women, no less, into tubes of lipstick. Which lipsticks make for the best sculptures? Sum only works with Nars, M.A.C., Estee Lauder, YSL and Max Factor to create her 3D renditions.

A mural named Mary Kay
Last year, Mary Kay broke the Guinness World Record for the largest makeup painting with their 608 square foot mural that took 10 artists working with over 3,500 Mary Kay products, for 1,000 hours over 16 days. A worthy celebration for the brand's 50th anniversary.
