With the exception of hair ornaments that looked like they could double as weapons and a strategic sprinkling of eye-catching gold glitter on her lower lashline, Anne Hathaway actually kept her beauty look on the more low-key side of things. How gorgeous is that matte rosy-nude lip?

Out of all the crowns that made their way down the Met Gala red carpet, let it here be known that SZA's star-studded take was one of the best. That, together with her sparkling gold teardrops, really sealed the deal on a truly fantastic look. Her makeup look, created by Samuel Paul for Pat McGrath Labs, featured an eye look created with the Mthrshp Subliminal Platinum Bronze Palette, $55, layered over with the shade VR Violet from the Mothership I Eyeshadow Palette - Subliminal, $125. As for the gold accents in the eyeshadow (as well as the gold tears), they were made with the Sinful shade from the Mothership IV Eyeshadow Palette - Decadence.

Like SZA, Lily Collins sported a striking bright red teardrop on her cheek. And paired with her slicked-back hair and intricate braid, her bejeweled eyes and glossy sheer blackberry lip, it made for a striking beauty look. Oh, and you know that crazy, intricate, loopy braid? Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell created it using drugstore products from Marc Anthony's line, including Marc Anthony True Professional Strengthening Grow Long Leave-In Conditioner, $19.99, for some extra shine and hydration.
