With 6.6 million followers on Instagram, Negin Mirsalehi is one of the world's leading lifestyle influencers. Named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, she's also the founder of hair care brand Gisou. The honey-infused line was inspired by Mirsalehi's father, a beekeeper, and mother, a hairdresser. All of the products are made using propolis from her family's sixth generation bee farm. Gisou's signature product is a hair oil, but Mirsalehi, who is passionate about bee conservation, has a love for oils that goes well beyond just hair.
"I love facial oils as well," she explains. "I think they're great for all skin types because they help regulate oil production and keep skin balanced and breakout-free. I prefer to use formulations with several different types of cold-pressed botanical oils. I like to think they're more nourishing because they give skin a more varied set of vitamins and fatty acids. I also like to mix a few drops of face oil into my foundation for a dewy look."
