10 New Beauty Products You'll Want to Get Your Hands on This July
From Essie's new at-home gel nail polish to the three-step system that will give you brighter skin in minutes, this month's must-buy products are total game changers
I'm a skin care obsessive, but I'm really a brightening obsessive. At the risk of being redundant: I'll try anything that promises to lighten my freckles. The latest product to meet my criteria -- and pass with flying colors -- is Ole Henriksen Power Bright Vitamin C Intensive Treatment System, $55. Unlike serums that can take 12 week (or more) to work, this three-step DIY facial gives you immediately brighter skin. You start with a polishing mask, then apply a 25-percent vitamin C treatment and finish it off with a melting balm-like cleanser. And let me warn you: This sucker tingles. But if all that tingling gives me the glowing, less-speckled skin of my dreams, I'll galdly endure it.

The Prettiest Makeup Case
Mara Hoffman makes gorgeous dresses in some of the coolest prints out there. In a typically genius move, Sephora tapped the designer to create a limited edition collection exclusively for them, and the Mara Hoffman for Sephora Collection Train Case, $110, is the piece de résistance. If you need a gorgeous place to house your beauty stash (which I'm sure is plentiful), consider investing in this case.

The Reason You Need One More Highlighter
There are so many great highlighters out there; I was starting to think we were done. Finished. That's it. The world has enough highlighters. But then I came across Glossier Haloscope, $22, and I changed my tune. I needed it. Now, I find myself reaching for it automatically -- neglecting my 37 other highlighters. Because this one is sheer and dewy and never makes my face look overly disco ball-ish. I find myself dabbing it on at my desk without a mirror -- it's that subtle. But it catches the light perfectly -- exactly how a highlighter should.

The Anti-Serum Hair Serum
When I hear the words "hair serum," I think of silicone-based products you apply to the ends of your hair. Wella Professionals Elements Hair Strengthening Serum, $44, is the opposite. It's a light spritz -- more like an essence -- and you apply it to your scalp. From there, it strengthens each hair strand, encouraging hair to grow stronger and thicker, and even boosts volume. If this is the next generation of hair serum, I like where things are going.

The Ultimate Liquid Lipstick
Many liquid lipsticks, while certainly on trend, are drying and uncomfortable to wear. Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Bold Liquid Lipstick, $22, is silky and balmy yet loaded with color. Pink Lover is my favorite shade -- it's a dusty mauve that looks good on everyone -- and even hours later, it leaves behind a pretty stain.
There are so many big beauty trends right now: Gel nail polish, liquid lipsticks, cleansing oils, face masks, highlighters -- the list goes on and on. And there are hundreds of different products that fall into each category.
This month, many of the best new beauty products follow these beauty trends -- but with a twist. (The gel polish is a DIY version that requires no light. The liquid lipstick is balmy and leaves behind a pretty stain.) And because many of these trends have been around for a while, the products are getting even cooler. The best new beauty products hitting store shelves in July 2016 are some of the most innovative I've seen in their respective categories. Get your credit card ready because if you haven't tried these trends before, now is the time.
