There are so many zillions of dry shampoos on the market, and many of them serve different purposes. So I have a wardrobe of dry shampoos, and I choose one for whatever my hair needs: volume, texture, oil absorption, etc. Nexxus Dry Shampoo Refreshing Mist, $12.99, is my new favorite for masking smells (like the remnant's of Saturday night's barbecue rib fest). It makes hair seem fresh and clean with very little residue and a pretty fragrance -- exactly what I want from a dry shampoo (at least some of the time).

Pore-Zapping Toner
I'm usually obsessive about eradicating every last freckle on my face, but lately my attention has turned to my pores. Sorry, guys, but it's time to go. Perricone Pre: Empt Series Exfoliating Pore Refiner, $60, is my newest pore-minimizing weapon, and I'm starting to notice a difference after only a few weeks. It's essentially a toner you apply after cleansing, and it tightens pores with plant-derived antioxidants and DMAE. It also works to brighten skin, so I don't have to give up my freckle-erasing campaign completely.

Long-Lasting DIY Frizz Treatment
The season of frizz is upon us, and I'm desperate to do anything I can to keep it at bay -- anything, that is, except a keratin treatment. (I don't have the time, and I'd rather spend the cash on sundresses.) So I'm using John Frieda Frizz Ease 10 Day Tamer, $12.99, once a week instead. It's a pre-shampoo treatment you apply to dry hair to smooth strands and block humidity -- and it lasts for up to 10 days or through five washes. It's the only at-home treatment I've tried that comes close to an in-salon de-frizzer, and it doesn't burn the hell out of your eyes.

Gel Moisturizer That Really Moisturizes
It's June, which means it's officially time to switch to a gel moisturizer. However, most of the existing formulas -- while fabulous -- aren't hydrating enough for my dry-ish skin. Algenist Splash Absolute Hydration Replenishing Gel Moisturizer, $58, is the perfect balance of light gel texture and supermoisturizing formula. It's packed with red algae and electrolytes to boost hydration and plump wrinkles, and the benefits last all day.

100 Lipstick Shades to Choose From
Eye makeup can feel heavy in the summer, but a quick swipe of lipstick against a bare face looks chic every time -- and won't melt in the heat. To ensure that all your lipstick desires are met, Urban Decay is repackaging and relaunching all of their existing lipsticks as Urban Decay Vice Lipstick, $17. The price point is sweet, and there are at 100 shades in six finishes ranging from Mega Matte to Sheer Shimmer. The hardest part is choosing one (or five).
June is the perfect time to shop for new beauty products. It's the ideal month to switch up your skin care for hotter weather, tame your hair before the humidity sets in and upgrade your makeup bag for wedding season. Fortunately, there are plenty of new beauty products to choose from -- include a candle that makes the perfect hostess gift and cuticle oil that will keep you manicure and pedicure looking fresh for weeks. Consider your summer shopping list written.
