There's nothing like a little fur trim to add a luxe visual element any to look, and that was certainly the case at Libertine's fall/winter show, where the CND Design Lab team created decadent fur-accented nails for the label. The soft-to-the-touch fingertips had a feather-like quality that made them every bit as eye catching as designer Johnson Hartig's colorful designs.

To create the look, the CND Design Lab team first gave models a matte base nail by using CND Vinylux Weekly Polish in Rubble or Cream Puff. Nail artists then used CND Creative Nail Design Super Shiney High Gloss Top Coat -- rather than glue -- to adhere matching fluffy adornments in white or taupe.

It took the team, which also hand-crafted crystal-adorned eye-shaped pieces to decorate nails, more than 200 hours to pull off the distinct digits. For his part, Hartig was impressed with CND's creative work -- and time commitment -- calling them, a "dream team sent from heaven above!"

Winter continued to be the inspiration at Jonathan Simkhai where hairstylist Thomas Osborn (working with Catwalk by Tigi) created a "frozen goddess" look. "It was inspired by the idea of a natural, windswept feel," he explained. "We wanted to keep the front of the hair soft with some 'frozen' pieces and have a Nordic knot down the back. The look is strong, yet not fussy."

He used Catwalk by Tigi Bodifying Spray, $18, to create texture, and he dried the hair in a backwards and upwards motion. Then, he knotted the hair at the nape of the neck and secured it with an elastic before adding a second knot lower down the ponytail. While this style may look elaborate, it's easy to recreate. "It shouldn't be perfect," said Osborn.

We've seen a lot of minimalist makeup at Fashion Week already, but that decidedly wasn't the case backstage at Marissa Webb where the look was full-on glam.

Working with Maybelline, makeup artist Gato created the "winter woman" -- someone "strong and confident but at the same time feminine," he said. She's a woman who is confident enough to simultaneously wear a bold lip (Maybelline Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds Lip Color in Raging Raisin, launching in June) and graphic eye.

The key to pulling off both, according to Gato, is the pop of silver in the center of the black liner. He used Maybelline Color Tattoo Liquid Chrome in Silver Spark (also hitting store shelves in June). "It draws your attention to the eyes and makes them the focus," he said.

It's hard not to swoon over this adorable mani, created by Miss Pop to complement the playful prints of Rachel Antonoff's F/W 2016 collection.

To get the look, she used Impress Manicure Oval, $6.99, in Lighten Up to create a white base. She then dipped a thin brush into Kiss Strong Gel Polish, $3.99, in shade Bloody Lips, and used it to draw a lip shape at the bottom left side of each nail. She used Kiss Nail Artist Paint, $6.99, in black to add a line in the center of the lips. The look is completed with a swipe of black polish along the tip of each fingernail.

The result: A whimsical manicure that serves as serious Valentine's Day nail art inspo (but we wouldn't blame you if you wanted to wear it the other 366 days of this leap year).
