13 Polished, Boss-Babe Hairstyles That Are So Hot RN

Forget about boho frizz, this year it's all about supersleek strands.

Sleek Accent Braids
Braids are having a serious moment here in 2017, and, like the wet-hair look, there's no sign of them slowing down. So, why not pair the two together? That's what Banana Republic decided to do in this year's SS18 show during NYFW. With a combination of ultra-sleek, pulled-back strands and a perfectly manicured mini accent braid, they introduced the beauty world to one of its new favorite looks.

To Get the Look: Keep a fine-tooth comb handy while weaving your accent braid. Since this look is characterized by a sleek finish, having a comb nearby will allow you to detangle as you go to prevent any unkempt stitches in your braid.

Sleek Crown With Textured Low Pony
This look takes 'business in the front, party in the back' to a whole new level. Featuring supersleek, equal dimensions from the hairline back to the crown, followed by a fully smoothed back and textured low pony that looks purposefully frizzy, this look shows that you're a boss babe that knows how to compromise.

To Get the Look: Instead of teasing your ponytail like crazy, potentially damaging your strands, to get the textured look you're going for, simply wash your hair with a 2-in-1 texture shampoo, geared towards gently cleansing while building texture and hold first.

Polished Garden Braid
If you fancy more intricate hairstyles, go crazy over this gorgeous, (seemingly) complicated garden braid. With so many twists and turns, you might think this hairstyle will take ages to create when in reality it's just an expertly pancaked (pulled-apart) braid.

To Get the Look: After braiding your hair, gently pull at a few strands from each weave to create the whimsical look that makes this hairstyle. Just be sure to not pull too hard -- you don't want to risk unraveling your masterpiece.

Polished Crown With Reverse Fishtail Braided Pony
If you love a good fishtail, get excited because there's a new aquatic-named hairstyle strutting down the runway. This gorgeous, inverted braid grabs hair from the inside of each section, as opposed to the outside with traditional fishtail braids, and wraps them around their respective side before being crossed over to the other section of the ponytail. Sounds complicated, looks complicated, but it's actually supereasy -- give it a try!

To Get the Look: Fishtail braids can be especially tricky to piece apart. That said, when it comes to fluffing up your braid, be sure to loosen each section every few stitches to amp up your look without causing excess tension by waiting until the end.

Glossy Crown with Beehive Ballerina Bun
Equal parts polished and roughed-up, this gorgeous high bun is the perfect accessory to any boss babe outfit. Wear it with pumps and a pencil skirt to the office, or sneaks and spandex to barre, either way you're sure to look and feel like the boss babe you are.

To Get the Look: To reduce the amount of teasing necessary to create your textured bun, start off by spraying your high ponytail with the Amika Undone Texture Spray, $24. Designed to deliver a perfectly tousled, undone, matte texture, this product will be the key in creating your ultra-fluffy beehive ballerina bun.
