OK, so laser treatments aren't exactly an ingredient per se, but it's still a treatment worth noting in this list.
"Laser treatments remove the top layers of skin and in some instances can be quite deep," says Dr. Wrye. "Sun exposure to this sensitive new skin should be avoided at all costs since over exposure could cause significant damage and scarring to the skin."
In the same way you wouldn't schedule a glycolic peel the day before a sunny vacay, you also don't want to undergo laser treatments of any kind before spending time in the sun. After any treatment, it's best to slather on SPF regularly and to avoid sun exposure.
