1. Apply a heat protectant serum to your hair and distribute from roots to tips. 2. Brush through your hair to smooth and detangle as necessary. Then, take vertical sections of your hair and wrap them around a large barrel curling iron. Make sure to wrap away from your face and start as closely to your roots as possible. 3. Once all of your hair is curled, rake through the curls using your fingers, to separate and loosen them. Then, take a 3-inch section of your hair at the front of your head and create a braid. Secure it with a bobby pin. 4. Finish with shine serum and hairspray.

1. Rub a smoothing lotion onto the palms of your hands and run your fingers throughout your hair. Make sure to pay close attention to the ends of your hair as you go. 2. Divide your hair from ear to ear to create two sections at the front and back of your hair. Clip the bottom section to hold, then gather the top section into a bun. Secure with an elastic. 3. Unclip the bottom portion and divide it vertically into two sections. Then, twist each section down through to the ends. 4. Wrap the twisted pieces around the base of your bun. Make sure the twist on the left starts to wrap around the right side of your bun and vice versa. 5. Secure your twists with bobby pins and finish with a light mist of hairspray.

1. Apply a curl-enhancing serum to your hair to tame frizz and smooth it out. 2. Section off the top portion of your hair. This shouldn't extend past the outer corner of your eyes and should reach the top of your crown. Clip that section off to the side. 3. Take the rest of your hair and pull it into a ponytail at the back of your crown. Use a soft brush to smooth flyaways and tug on the ends to tighten it as needed. 4. Unclip the top portion and tease it gently to create volume. Then gather that section back toward your ponytail, wrapping the ends around the base of the elastic. Secure with bobby pins. 5. Finish by misting with hairspray.
Summer has always been an excuse to get lazy. Skip the foundation, ditch the iron, go ahead and wear those ballet flats instead of the peep toe pumps. But admit it: Lazy summer days mean you also get lazy in other areas as well. And while you may get away with a makeup-free face and flops, pulling off a head full of frizz isn't an option.
So, what to do when your messy hairstyle is more sloppy than chic? Try one of these five easy looks that offer an instant fix.
