Best for Plastic Surgery
Where: The Inn and Spa at the Retreat at Split Rock, Wilton, Connecticut

Ready to move beyond facials and peels? This quaint Connecticut inn provides not only a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of daily life, but a peaceful place to recover from cosmetic procedures. Experienced plastic surgeons perform a variety of facelifts, body procedures and non-surgical rejuvenating treatments at the inn's adjacent medical facility. Following surgery, patients have access to an in-suite attendant who tends to all of her individual needs. Of course, you can still take advantage of the secluded New England surroundings even if you're not ready to go under the knife or needle. The inn offers a full slate of more traditional, non-invasive spa services too.

Cost: Rates available upon request.

Best for Turning Back Time
Where: La Reserve Hotel and Spa, Geneva, Switzerland

Though you might be most fixated on those stubborn lines on your forehead, getting older takes a toll on your entire body. This fact is not lost on La Reserve Geneva, where you'll find a multifaceted approach to turning back the clock. The hotel's Nescens better-aging program devotes four or seven days to helping you look and feel younger. It features a jam-packed itinerary that includes consultations with medical experts about everything from joint health to spider veins, personal training sessions, spa treatments and a special dietary regimen.

Cost: $3,234 for the four-day program, $4953 for the seven-day program; rooms start at $530 per night.

Best for Sculpting Long, Lean Limbs
Where: Exhale Gansevoort, Turks and Caicos

Sure, with locations in nine U.S. cities, Exhale's mind-body classes are available stateside, but wouldn't you rather sweat in a tropical location? At Gansevoort Turks + Caicos visitors can take advantage of Exhale's yoga and barre classes, as well as the spa's signature calorie-torching Core Fusion classes.

"We have a lot of people who come down on vacation and drop in for class," says Kim Kiernan, Director of Public Relations and Communications. "Another great option at Exhale Turks + Caicos is to create your own mini-retreat." There's also the Stand Up Strong Retreat, offered in October, which features stand-up paddleboard and snorkeling lessons.

Cost: The "Get Fit" Package starts at $695 per night, but other options are available at varying rates.

Best for Revealing Glowing Skin
Where: Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa, Grindavík, Iceland

Located in the middle of cooled lava, this spa has made a name for itself in part due to its distinctive in-water treatments. That's right. You can receive a massage, facial or scrub as you bob in mineral-rich H2O. Blue Lagoon's signature Salt Glow treatments are particularly worth checking out. As you float, a professional polishes your skin to glowing perfection using Blue Lagoon minerals, silica and oil. Has luxuriating in a pool has ever been so productive? The accommodations aren't bad either. The hotel's modern rooms overlook the lava field, and guests have access to a private lagoon and a special post-treatment relaxation room.

Cost: Salt Glow treatments start at $72 for 30 minutes; room rates vary.
