Shave AND Shampoo Before Your Appointment

"I always advise my clients to shave, wash their hair, and exfoliate before their appointment," Frei explains. That way, your first shower post-tanning can be a really quick rinse (which in turn will help your tan stick around a little longer).

Feel Free to Wear Whatever You Like

"Clients can wear as much or as little clothing as they would like," says Frei. "Sometimes our clients love to see the tan line, so they will wear underwear." She adds that other clients — who prefer not to have tan lines — can go completely commando.

You Always Can Get Bronzed at Home

"Our company, as well as several other spray tanning companies, often offer mobile appointments," Frei explains. This entails a professionally trained spray tanner coming straight to your home, office, or hotel, and delivering a premium quality tan right in the comfort of your home.

Make Sure You Wear Sunscreen After Your Tan

Frei notes that it is important to remember that you can still get sunburnt even with a spray tan. "Always wear your sunscreen, even if you have just gotten a fresh spray," she warns.

Your Color Is Customizable

"You can customize your spray tan to fit exactly what you are looking for by talking with your spray tan technician," says Frei. "You can make your tan as dark or light as you want."
