The shoes at Alexander Wang were pure artistry: bold color, interesting texture and fun shapes. These basket-weave patterned heels come in black, white, orange and cobalt and sport a cutout wedge heel in back.

Slip-on Style
Our favorite trend from New York Fashion Week: comfortable footwear. If the abundance of sneakers, sandals and low-heeled boots are a sign of continued popularity for the anti-stiletto, we're on board. The models at DKNY walked down the runway in colorful sneakers and these ultra-sparkly flatform sandals that look downright comfy.

Sky High
Boots or pants? These thigh-high lace-up boots from Rodarte's fashion week show have us slightly confused, but mostly in love. I like the unexpected sex appeal they add to a pair of skinny jeans rather than a skirt or dress.

Wrapped Up
Snakeskin has been on our radar for awhile now, and there's something similarly reptilian about the coiled straps of these 3.1 Phillip Lim heels. They're shown here in olive green, another standout trend from the runways.

The shoe trends at fashion week covered everything from lace-up heels to comfy sandals we'd wear on a typical Saturday. Here, 12 fashion week shoes that left us reeling.
