Snakeskin has been on our radar for awhile now, and there's something similarly reptilian about the coiled straps of these 3.1 Phillip Lim heels. They're shown here in olive green, another standout trend from the runways.

Mixed Media
Gingham was prevalent on many fashion week runways this year, so we weren't surprised to see these dainty gingham heels at Diane von Furstenberg. However, when turned to the side they reveal a cheetah print heel -- our favorite example of print-mixing yet.

The New Sandal
The "ugly sandal" trend has gotten mixed reviews (we're standing by our Birkenstocks), and it seems the sandals at Peter Som will fall under the same scrutiny -- but we like them. Metallic leather, comfortable-looking shape, fringe detailing -- this is elevated normcore.

Color Play
Tommy Hilfiger is known for its preppy vibe, but this season's show was full on rock 'n' roll with none other than Georgia May Jagger (aka Mick's daughter) sashaying down the runway. These colorful metallic booties are very Kate Hudson à la Almost Famous.

Stud Alert
We'd raid our guys' closets for the perfect pair of brogues (if they fit us), but we love the ladylike spin on this typically masculine pair from Marissa Webb. Tiny gold studs and buckle detailing are edgy and feminine at once.

The shoe trends at fashion week covered everything from lace-up heels to comfy sandals we'd wear on a typical Saturday. Here, 12 fashion week shoes that left us reeling.
