Move over, Blair Waldorf. Actress Zhan Lanxin sat front row at Carolina Herrera's Fall 2014 and nailed an Upper East Side-worthy ensemble that even Queen B would applaud. Lanxin pumped up the prep-factor by mixing plaid houndstooth with plain houndstooth and tied the whole look together with strappy, jeweled sandals, a metallic clutch and a chunky belt with silver hardware that brought the traditional prints up to speed for 2014. Better yet: in true fashion darling form, Zhan skipped the sleeves and simply draped her coat over her shoulders like a front row pro.

Staying warm while looking stylish enough to earn a front-row seat at Fashion Week is no easy feat. Leave it to perpetual "It" girl Olivia Palermo to show us how it's done. The outfit she wore to the Peter Som show is a lesson in layering. She paired her baggy, cropped trousers with a crisp polka-dot oxford shirt (topped with a sparkly brooch) and coordinated the fur collar on her calf-length coat with a fur vest and fur ankle booties. We doubt she'll be shivering as she show-hops this week.

It's only fitting to kick off Fashion Week with beauty inspiration from mini Carrie Bradshaw. Actress AnnaSophia Robb looked nothing short of fresh-faced at the Houghton runway show at Milk Studios. With flawless skin, shiny waves tousled to perfection, long, feathery lashes and a bright pink lip for some pop, Robb's look almost had us forgetting that it's a balmy 28 degrees over in New York.
