The Kit
The TriPollar Geneo Personal Facial Device Kit, $199, is an exfoliating/cleansing-brush-meets-oxygenation treatment. Interestingly, the company that makes this tool (Pollogen) has an in-office device that utilizes a combination of radiofrequency, ultrasound and then oxygenation. The at-home device uses just the oxygenation technology. It releases lots of CO2 bubbles on your face, which in turn causes your body to send oxygen-rich blood to the area. (For you science-y folks, this is referred to as the Bohr effect.) In the end, skin glows thanks to the increased oxygen flow.

How It Works
The device has two key functions: cleansing and oxygenation. The cleansing function utilizes a silicone piece that gently cleanses skin (similar to the old school Clarisonic device or new school Foreo). You simply use your preferred cleanser with the device. The aforementioned piece is removable and an oxygenation tab fits snugly inside the cavity.
In addition to the device, you'll get a month's supply of oxygenation tablets and gel with the kit. Once those are used up, you can purchase the treatments as needed. To use the oxygenation feature, apply the thick and sticky gel to your cleansed face, pop the oxygenation tablet into the cavity, then press the on button. From there, you just massage your face for three to five minutes.

What It Feels Like
The cleansing feature feels nearly identical to similar devices. You get a gentle, exfoliating, deep cleanse that feels like a soothing treat at the same time. The oxygenation feature is also soothing. You can definitely tell that your skin is being exfoliated and there is a very mild bubbling sensation. It's not as intense as an in-office treatment, but you can tell work's being done.

The Instant Result
Right after I use the TriPollar Geneo device, my skin is visibly glowing. Probably thanks to the combination of the exfoliation and the oxygenation. I have also used the device on my husband and his skin glows, too. Your complexion definitely looks best in the hours following treatment. So if you want that major glow for an event, make it the last thing you do before applying your makeup.
