The subtle heart hidden within this pink and red Valentine's Day nail art design, created by The Daily Nail, makes for a sweet surprise.
Get the look:
Step 1: Polish your nails with two coats of white nail polish.
Step 2: Use a dotting tool (or the head of a pin, which will work in a pinch) to make tiny dots to outline the shape of the heart onto the nail to use as a guide.
Step 3: Using a red polish, start making random dots in varying sizes on the nails, getting smaller and farther apart as you move away from the heart.
Step 4: Next, repeat step three with as many colors as you'd like to use. (She used a mixture of cremes, holographics, neon, and glitter polishes in the same color family.)
After painting on a coat of Butter London Nail Lacquer in Bumster, use a black Sharpie (or some nail decals) and spell out what's on your mind -- in five letters or less.
New 5-Free nail polish brand Smith and Cult designed this minimalist, negative-space nail art -- perfect for the woman who wants Valentine's Day nails that don't go over-the-top.
Step 2: Paint a coat of Nailed Lacquer in Ghost Edit on all nails.
Step 3: Starting at the tip of the nail, use Nailed Lacquer in Kundalini Hustle to paint a diagonal line to each side, forming a "v" shape.
Step 4: Finish off with a coat of Above It All.
