7 Wedding Hairstyles, Makeup Looks and Manicure Ideas You'll Love

Even if you're not getting married, this bridal eye candy is worth a peek

The Modern Bun
A chic chignon is the classic wedding hairstyle. To dress it up even more, try a roped look like the one we spotted at Naeem Khan -- seashell crown optional.

To get the look, Joseph DiMaggio, Master Session Ambassador for Davines, pulled the hair back into a traditional bun. Then, he twisted two extensions into a rope braid -- using Davines More Inside This is a Texturizing Dust, $28, for grip -- and wrapped it around the bun.

Extensions are a great way to enlarge an updo, and they hold up well in inclement weather (fingers crossed for sun).

Elegant Eye Makeup
While wedding makeup is getting subtler overall, you can still wear a sexy eye look -- but it should be sophisticated and slightly less dramatic.

At Pamella Roland, Artistry Global Makeup Artist Rick DiCecca, used the Artistry Signature Color Eye Shadow Quad in Natural Glow (it launches this fall) to create a subtly smoky upper lid. Then, he lined the upper lashline with black pencil. To keep the look from becoming too harsh, he lined the lower lashline with a softer brown pencil.

Romantic Waves
If you want to wear your hair down for your wedding, forget a bouncy blowout -- this is the most modern way to do it.

At the Jenny Packham 2016 bridal show, the inspiration was "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and hairstylist Kevin Ryan created a hairstyle that was ethereal but edgy. To get the look, he smoothed the hair with a Unite Flat Iron, $225, and then added two or three bends (also with the flat iron) at ear height. Then, he locked it all in place with Unite Go365 Hairspray, $31.

A Rosy Glow
Natural, no-makeup makeup is having a moment, and that moment was definitely happening at the Oscar de la Renta spring 2016 bridal show. Soft, rosy tones were used on the eyes, cheeks and lips. And a flick of black liner and a few coats of mascara gave the eyes added definition. If you're a minimal makeup wearer, this is your wedding makeup look -- look no further.

The Ultimate Braid
For the woman who wants a wedding hairstyle that's casual, unexpected and a little bohemian, a braid is the way to go. Now, imagine kicking that braid up about a dozen notches and you have the braids from the Reem Acra show.

"Rather than accessorizing with jewelry, [Reem Acra] wanted all attention centered around the hair -- creating an unexpected piece of bridal 'jewelry,'" said DiMaggio. He used extensions to create a "structural" braid and then embellished it with diamond and pearl pins, wraps and even iron-on stars. Finally, he locked it all in place with Davines More Inside This is a Strong Hair Spray, $29.

After the dress (and, sure, the groom), your wedding hairstyle, makeup and manicure are major decisions. While your wedding lasts only a day, you'll have your pictures forever -- and the wrong lipstick color will ruin them. No exaggeration.

Fortunately, there's no shortage of wedding beauty inspiration, and the most obvious place to look is bridal fashion week. And we got the how-to tips straight from the experts themselves. With a little imagination (and some hair extensions) you can recreate these wedding hairstyles, pretty makeup looks and manicures for your own big day. They're on trend, but classic enough that they'll never go out of style -- so you'll love those pictures until death do you part.
