Eating healthy during the holiday season can be challenging. Kale is considered one of the healthiest vegetables around. It's available all year round, but it grows well in colder months (and can even taste better!).
One cup of kale contains vitamins A, C, and K, as well as calcium, copper, manganese, potassium, and magnesium. It also has antioxidant flavonoids, which help keep your blood pressure healthy while also preventing inflammation.

Did you know that carrots are generally sweetest during the fall and winter? They are sometimes called candy carrots because of how sweet they get during the cold months.

Red cabbages are not just picture-perfect ingredients for your winter meals. They contain vitamins C, A, and K, which are important in keeping your body healthy. It also has anthocyanins, a type of antioxidant from the flavonoid family, which is linked to health benefits like controlling your blood pressure and lowering the risk of heart disease.

Pomegranates are also very good during the winter season. This fruit is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help keep your body healthy. It also has vitamins A, C, and E which help protect you from free radicals. They're great sprinkled over salads, or enjoyed alone for a fun-to-eat treat!
