It seems like everyone's trying to catch the prosperous beauty wave, and that includes Birkenstock. Yes, as in the 245-year-old, granola-leaning footwear brand famous for its cork and rubber shoes. The line — which incorporates cork into both product design and formulation via Cork Oak Extract — launched in late 2019. It was initially met with curious, raised eyebrows, but has since gained genuine momentum.

Though it's not terribly surprising for a fashion house to launch its own fragrance — Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and Tom Ford are just a few of many — it's definitely not as common to see a fragrance brand collaborate with an entirely unaffiliated fashion company. Aerin Lauder (known for her floral, feminine scents) and Rebecca Hessel Cohen of LoveShackFancy have proven it can be done beautifully. The two worked together on Aerin's latest fragrance, Wild Geranium, which is available in both a hair mist and EDP, and also on LoveShackFancy's Spring 2020 capsule collection. It's all quite divine.
