One of the most exciting things about Fashion Week (besides the clothing) is the chance to see some of today's top makeup artists and hairstylists in action! I managed to snag a few pics to share:

Makeup artist Dwight O'Neal, above, touches up a model for the Julie Haus Spring '09 show. The beautiful deep red-stained lips were created by dabbing the Balm Read My Lips Lipstick over the Balm Stainiac in Prom Queen, blending from the middle of the lip outward with fingers. O'Neal then topped it off with the Balm Plump Your Pucker in Cocoa My Coconut.

Massimo La Rocca, creative director of Shears, Hustle & Flow in New York City, stopped by the TotalBeauty.com suite to demonstrate his expertise. Here, he blow-dried the luscious locks of blogger Laurie from Beauty's Spot after using Molton Brown Moisture-Drench Rosella Hair Wash on her.

Revlon Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman, above, began applying shimmery black eyeshadow to a model for Diane Von Furstenberg's Spring '09 show. The main effect of the overall look, below, was a chalky blend of pink and white eyeliner on the lips.

Oscar Blandi, above, put finishing touches on a model's beachy waves. The look was achieved with randomly placed braids, some of which were wrapped around curling irons for added body and dimension.

Makeup artist Sarah Lucero, above, put finishing touches on a model's cheeks at Yigal Azrouel, where she created a stunning black Cleopatra-esque eye with Stila Smudge Pot in Black and Stila Eye Shadow in Oasis and Makalu.

Beauty.com celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow dabbed a new Stila bronzer on a model's face to give her a sun-kissed "safari" look at the Lela Rose show.
