  • Recently I posted a blog asking you to tell me if a genie granted you three beauty wishes, what would they be? The responses were overwhelming and you had no qualms about telling us what you wanted to change about yourself -- from wanting prettier feet to clearer skin. (To refresh your memory, my wishes were: 1. Rosy Lips; 2. Olive Skin; 3. A Full B-Cup.) From that, we decided to grant your beauty wishes.

  • I, probably much like you, am a woman that full-heartedly believes I need an arsenal of anti-aging skin care products. I believe that a drink or pill can actually burn a hundred calories by simply ingesting it, thus magically granting me back my teenage body and metabolism (OK, I might be alone on that one). And, I use makeup as a crutch for my less-than-perfect skin.

  • I tell you this because I recently visited We Care Spa, a detoxification and spiritual retreat that’s been covered by "VH1" and "E!" and touted as a celebrity secret for health and beauty. I knew going in that it was going to be the kind of place where my BlackBerry dependence wouldn’t be appreciated and my love of fried food would have to fly under the radar. I would have to embrace what I so often preach, but rarely practice -- that beauty really does start from the inside out. The message and the "secret" that celebrities get from the spa is really common sense (yet so easy to forget when we know that great under eye concealers exist), which is that removing toxins from your body gives you better/younger-looking skin.

  • Does expensive necessarily equal better? And is a $1,000 skin care cream that much more superior to one that costs $100? Unfortunately, I haven't had the luxury of testing out this little beauty experiment, so I can't really recommend that you run out and buy anything on this list of the 9 most expensive skin care creams (unless, of course, you happen to have that kind of cash lying around). Has anyone actually tried any of these? If so, speak up! Or would you ever spend this kind of cash on a beauty product? I'd love to know.

  • I have always believed that beauty is so personal. Not that we should be secretive about our habits or routines, but the way a woman feels about and relates to her beauty, and how she sees herself is so emotional. So you can imagine that when a new survey revealing women's secret thoughts about their skin care came across my desk this morning, I was instantly intrigued.

  • OK, fess up already. We know you like looking at good, bad and ugly photos of celebrities -- so do we. And since makeovers seem to get all the love, we decided to put together a gallery of the best celebrity makeunders. Scroll down to see the toned-down transformations of these gals with less makeup and hair that's not overdone. Don't they all look WAY better? We think they do.

  • I feel particularly perky today. Perhaps it's because that second cup of Joe just hit my blood stream. Or maybe it's because when I walked into work this morning, I felt a cool breeze hit my face and whip back through my hair as if to subtly remind me that fall has finally arrived in all its I-get-to-wear-red-lipstick-again glory. (Make sure you're starting to transition your makeup from summer to fall like a pro.)

  • There's really nothing better than having healing hands all over on your body and lovely-smelling lotions and potions massaged into your skin, coupled with a coma-inducing ambiance, right? And when you're stressed, being pampered can feel like a lifesaver (in fact, some health and beauty treatments might actually save your life). Unfortunately, we don't always put ourselves, or our health & beauty first; especially since spa treatments don't often come cheap.

  • Something weird happened last night. I was watching the MTV Video Music Awards with a girlfriend of mine, and as the B-list celebrities (sorry, but you know it's true) strutted down the "white" carpet, I turned to her and actually asked "what is wrong with the kids these days?!"

  • I was personally rocked to my I-think-I'm-hip core by such a grandma moment, but I just couldn't contain it. Yes, I am fully aware that this particular awards show is not ordained by any sort of "academy" and is therefore, more the kind of place for Britney to strip or Kanye to have a meltdown, but isn't there room for a little bit of class?

  • Sure, celebs don’t play it safe like they do at the Oscars, but what on earth was with all of the orange tans? Reality TV stars Nicole Polizzi and Audrina Patridge (seen below) were both literally neon orange.

  • The Scenario: You're in a friend's wedding tomorrow and realize the fugly bridesmaid dress you’ve been ordered to wear is short and your legs are ... pasty. So you bust out your self-tanner, slather it on and wait for your bronze-y faux glow to appear. But hours pass and you realize that you're a streaky hot mess. (Clearly you never watched this video on perfecting self-tanner application.)
