  • The way kids express emotions is liberating and healthy. If they feel compelled to unabashedly cry or scream -- they do. Adults? Not so much. We usually keep our stress bottled up inside until it manifests itself in unsightly ways like zits, cold sores, knots in our backs, grey hairs, etc. (see how stress might be making you ugly) -- or we just have a complete crying-on-the-bathroom-floor emotional breakdown.

  • Well ladies, it's finally come to this (and just in time for the summer tanning season): The U.S. government will implement a 10 percent tax on indoor tanning starting TODAY. Pale-skinned ladies better stock up on some of these highest rated self-tanners if they don't want their wallet burned.

  • Summer is here. So whether you're on holiday (here are 10 must-pack products for your vacay) in the south of France or stuck in the office (get a tan with help from these best self-tanners), we're just gonna take a wild guess here -- you want to look great while putting forth minimal effort, yes? We thought so.

  • This just in: After growing out her JoanJett-esque mullet, "Twilight" saga darling Kristen Stewart just chopped all of her hair off and died it red. Apparently the new 'do for a role she's gearing up to play in a few weeks -- a big screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s 1957 novel, "On The Road".

  • Let me start by stating a firm belief: We shouldn't go through life trying to please everybody. If I think I need filler in my lips, I'm going to get it, despite my mother's protests ... I'll just pray that I don't get a botched job like these celebrities with bad plastic surgery did (validating that mom, indeed, does know best). If I choose to fall victim to one of these worst hair trends of all time, even though my BFF warned me that I didn't have the bone structure to pull off Scarlett Johansson's mullet during my punk phase, then gosh darn it, I'm going to fall.

  • As I was getting reading for work this AM (see how to look awake and refreshed -- every morning), I heard on NPR that the number of CEOs planning to resurrect something called hiring is at an all time high since mid-2007 -- this is according to a survey that implies that large U.S. companies are becoming more confident about the economic recovery.

  • Throughout the passage of time, women from all walks of life have consistently gone to great lengths in order to achieve their idealized image of beauty. In the eternal pursuit of beauty, women will wear, rub, bathe, drink and otherwise treat themselves with the most bizarre and horrifying concoctions fathomable (see beauty treatments gone way wrong). In fact, many historic beauty practices came at a great risk to women’s health and good taste. Other, more modern treatments simply defy common decency (would you strip for beauty salon treatments). Many of these bizarre and strange beauty practices also have questionable short and long term results, which is particularly disconcerting when one realizes the great lengths of disgusting insanity these women reach in the employment of these strange beauty treatments.
