It's easy to talk about the fun side of beauty -- the makeup trends, hot hairstyles and new products -- but what about the less-than-scintillating side of beauty? You might say we're a wee-bit celeb obsessed over at TotalBeauty.com. Not so much in a gossipy, "are they dating or was that canoodling just as friends?" kind of way, but more of a "oh my god I can't believe she wore that shade of lipstick with that eyeshadow, it's brilliant!" sort of way.
Have Adult Acne? You're So Not Alone! Get Help From Fellow Sufferers Here

I don't think I'm alone in admitting that my acne breakouts didn't stop when I said sayonara to my teen years. I'm well into my 30s and still trying to find that magic cocktail of products that keep my skin clear consistently (this expert advice did help some). Thankfully though, I have TotalBeauty.com readers to join in my pity party and offer up these tried and true tips and products that have worked for them.
Tip1: "I have a beauty routine that I use everyday religiously and it works for me. I use a cleanser with salicylic acid (I am using the Avon Clearskin Blackhead Clearing Cleanser now but I use different ones as long as they have at least 2 percent salicylic acid). When I wash my face I leave the cleanser on for at least two minutes so it can really work. I use a purifying toner after that then I apply spot treatment acne cream. I give it time to absorb then I apply an oil-free moisturizer. Every other day I use Mary Kay Clarifying Mask." -- tenetene
What Products Do You Steal from Your Guy?

Alright, I'll admit it: I have a shower full of shampoos and body washes (some really good ones too, like these), yet more often than not I'll reach for my boyfriend's Head & Shoulders and Dial body wash. I don't even have dandruff; I just like the way his shampoo makes my hair feel. And his body wash is such a great basic, plus the scent reminds me of him. I just really hope he isn't reading this, since he hasn't yet solved the mystery of why he keeps running out of them so quickly

However, if you don't feel like wandering the aisles trying to discern the best of the best, let this little (OK, it's kind of big) list be your guide.
