Shopping for a Cause

Break out the pink ribbons -- October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Tons of beauty brands are donating some of their proceeds this month to the cause so we wanted to share a few of them with you. (If you're going to shop it might as well be for a good cause, right?) Check out these "pink" products:
Melange Apothecary is donating 30 percent of the sales of their Pink Logo Body Cream, $22.
Anne Hathaway a Smoker?
- Posted by Kristen on October 2, 2008 at 09:59AM
Did you know that Anne Hathaway was a smoker? I didn't until I saw her on Letterman on Tuesday night. I guess I shouldn't be surprised because it seems everyone in Hollywood smokes, but the little "Princess Diaries" girl? Really?
Does Sarah Palin Have a Tattoo?

I couldn't help but click when I got this e-mail about an article on The Huffington Post: "Is Sarah Palin's Lipliner A Tattoo?"
Why this was on The Huffington Post, I don't know. But more importantly, it appears that some people (myself included) took the time to vote on whether or not they think Palin has permanent lip liner: Approximately 45 percent said yes, 23 percent said no and 29 percent weren't sure.

Poor Heather Locklear. (I've been a fan since "Melrose Place" and yes, "Dynasty.")
Congratulations Scarlett Johansson!

Over the weekend, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were married. According to People Magazine they had a small ceremony, just family and close friends, in British Columbia. No word yet on what Scarlett Johansson looked like but we're sure she was gorgeous as always (check her out at a recent movie premiere above).
Fragrance 101 -- Part Trois
- Posted by Kristen on September 30, 2008 at 05:20PM
To continue my story about the mystery that is fragrance production ...
Once the flowers are picked they must be processed in five to six hours before they rot. This means that immediately after the pickers are done with their two plus hours of morning picking, the flowers are weighed. This is a very important part for the pickers because they are paid by the weight of the flowers they pick. Again, this is all done with very old-school tools and methods.
