Experts Reveal: "The Beauty Products That Changed My Life"
- Posted by Anna on October 26, 2010 at 06:14PM
It happened one (not so special) Sunday. I was perusing the beauty counter at Bloomingdale's for a beauty product I most likely didn't need, but one that might fill some unknown emotional void c'mon, you know you do it too. While I typically like to be left alone and avoid eye contact with the often over zealous salespeople, I was feeling particularly chipper and decided to engage with a smiling woman cloaked in black. Besides, I've read the Nice Girls Guide to Pushy Salespeople and have finally learned it's OK to say "no thank you" when offered a spray of something that smells like my great aunt Ingrid.
Weirdo Beauty Products That Actually Work

So, I secretly love infomercials. There I said it. And, I don't just watch them to lull me to sleep during bouts of insomnia. I actually seek them out. I "stay up" to be sold on a Ped Egg and tweezers with a light up tip that comes with a free magnifying mirror and a bathrobe -- if I "call within the next ten minutes." I'm the sucker that bought Oxy Clean from Billy Mays (may he rest in peace) at 3am on a not-so-spectacular Friday night. I had a Chia Pet, a Bedazzler and currently still wear my Snuggie on cold afternoons. I'm the girl that uses the best "As seen on TV" hair care products, and I love them.
Natural Beauty Comes from Within: Lancome Declares October 22nd Genes Day
- Posted by Kristen on October 15, 2010 at 11:46AM
The highest level of beauty comes from within -- from paying it forward and helping our fellow man. Not to get preachy, but it is so easy to take our health for granted and to go about our daily lives consumed by our own miniature stresses. So naturally, we love to be reminded by communities, especially the beauty community, that others need our help. Leave it to the world's largest luxury beauty brand Lancome, to do just that: remind us to show our humanity through the power of our beauty, the beauty of the human spirit.
Celebrity Hairstyles: The Blonde Pixie Trend
- Posted by Kristen on October 14, 2010 at 05:34PM
With the recent breaking beauty news about Ashlee Simpson's drastic haircut, and all the other starlets who more or less recently hopped on the pixie-ish, blonde bandwagon a la Mia Farrow, I can't help but notice that there is a trend happening here. Do you think that it will become as popular as Victoria Beckham's angled bob or Jennifer Aniston's famous layered 'do, or one of the most requested celebrity hairstyles of all time?

It's that time again -- for the third installment of my weekly roundup of favorite pink beauty products supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. And this post couldn't come on a better day seeing as today, October 13th, is National Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day as voted on by the U.S. Senate and House last year.
Celebrity Perfumes: The Best and the Worst

OK, so you may not be a big Paris Hilton fan, but what if you love her perfume -- would you boycott it just out of principle? Or let's say you're a die hard Gwen Stefani fan, but think her scent kinda smells like bug spray -- would you still buy it? Well, some of our readers were taken aback by which celebrity-endorsed perfumes they fell in love with and which ones made them gag. Ladies and gentlemen (if we actually have any dudes reading), this is our roundup of the best and worst celebrity perfumes.
