I have oily skin and NEED a primer. Tried this was hopeful that it would work for me, but ended up throwing it away as it did nothing to prime my skin, mattify my skin or control oil. I failed to use it on my lips as this is not a concern of mine.

AS GOOD AS SMASHBOX
I've been using the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and enjoying it, but I was looking around for suitable alternatives since it is just so expensive. I don't have oily skin, so I can't vouch for whether or not it actually mattes skin, but this is the only one that I've tried that even comes close...
I'm a fan of silicone and gel primers rather than lotions as I feel they work better for my combination/normal skin, this makes concealer and foundation application an absolute breeze and I really enjoy using it, I haven't used it on my eyes too often as I don't like the idea of primer gunking up...
