this is a nice gentle scrub. the product is sort of a gel formula. no lather. not irritating at all. i was a bit scared to try because of the walnut factor. in fact, i never would have tried it, if i hadn't had come across it on the clearance shelves at ulta. i bought one for $4. came home...
