Made for the daring, most of the 12 Urban Decay Deluxe Eye Shadow powders are intense and fluorescent -- anything but subtle. Applied sparingly they take on an almost-pastel hue. When used as liner, they're somewhat discreet; but when used as intended, they look dramatic. The high-quality shadow feels soft and won't crease or fade. Shimmery shades deliver medium-high sheen. Apply carefully as color doesn't blend easily -- great for staying power but bad if you've applied too much.

Perfect Pigmentation and Wear!
Without a doubt, Urban Decay makes some of the most pigmented, soft, blendable, and long-wearing eye shadows available. The colors are enough to make you salivate--from the sedate "Foxy" (cream/bisque matte) to "Midnight Cowboy" (warm sand with multi-colored glimmer) to the bodacious "Fishnet" (bright pink shimmer with purple undertones) and "Loaded" (a deep, metallic teal) and "Oil Slick" (matt...read moree black with silver micro-glitter), These shadows attract attention, almost apply themselves, and wear for a very long time. Eighteen dollars is a steep price, except when you're purchasing color which few, if any, brands can replicate. When I was preparing for my wedding makeup look, I knew that I did not want to spend a lot of money for one day of makeup. So I headed over to my local Ulta store to find how to get a professional makeup look that would last a long time for not a lot of money. I figured it was better to spend the money on the products rather than the service, then my new makeup collection would be mine to keep. So...read more after looking at a bunch of youtube videos and talking to the consultant at the cosmetic counter at Ulta, I finally settled on the Urban decay line. Previously in my experience, I had shied away from this brand because of how expensive it is. However, I was drawn in by the vast array of colors as well as the promise of the Ulta girl that it would last from first kiss to last dance for my wedding day. I sampled many of the different items available, and finally settled on three eyeshadow colors to construct my ultimate bridal makeup look. I purchased Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Virgin and a dark brown shade. These gave a me a light, medium and dark shade. Midnight Cowboy is a gorgeous sparkly pink, virgin is a very soft light color, and I was able to make a beautiful look that was both dark and bright and the very same time. The colors of this line blend very well together, and complemented each other. After applying the colors and a set of false eyelashes, paired up with a liquid black eyeliner, I felt like I had a really beautiful look. It showed up well in pictures and really did last all day long. The shimmery colors were shimmery, but the light colors did not shine too much.
