This works great on layered hair to give texture and definition at the ends of hair. I also use this for bed head look, because it's not too heavy. This also works great for very short hair to give it that controlled messy do. Pump is far more convenient than jars too.

I bought this hoping to lend my fine, chin-length bob some texture, especially on the ends. It completely stiffened my hair and looked horrible. I have it to a friend with a pixie cut and she used it to make her hair spiky. It worked, but she, like me, wasn't thrilled with the product's texture...

Love this paste, Found it after a short haircut & used it since. Humidity will affect the hold but overall - Good Stuff!

this product does roughen up your hair a bit, but with my long hair and layers i feel like it doesnt last as long as i wish it would. maybe i just need something stronger

I love this product on my short shag-style cut. I first use Redken Align straightener, blowdry, and then work the Roughing Paste into my hands really well. I work it through my ends, using it to define, lift, or flip my hair. Also, works really well if you use this first and a straightening...
