The casing is a clear plastic container with a screw on/off capping. Within the container is a sifter to help control how much product comes out at once. Even thought with the sifter, though, the amount of product that comes out is a lot. I would recommend putting some of the loose powder the lid...

Comes in a HUGE container with product filled to the top. It will last you a long time. The color is dark which I love because you can control whether you want it to be darker. Perfect for contour and there is not a hint of orange in it. This is in my "go to" compartment of my makeup collection.
