Perhaps I should purchase mine from a different store.....not sure that would make a difference. I always get mine at Sally Beauty Supply and I go through them like I change my underware!! It always stops working because something goes wrong with it where the cord goes into the actual handle....

MARCEL IS THE BEST CURLING IRONS
The Marcel grip may take beginners a little getting used to but they far outweigh ANY of the spring clip release types. I have used the Marcel Grip for over 20 years and would never switch back. This particular model is one of the better ones out there.
This curling iron works great with my straight hair! It gives me really pretty big fat loose curls. Kind of like Lucy Hale or Selena Gomez. Last all day worth every penny!!!!
